Dash's Tweaks

by okdashi

Dash's Tweaks changes a handful of vanilla behaviors and adds a few new items and blocks, without replacing the core game systems.

What it does

Dash's Tweaks groups small adjustments to vanilla Minecraft. Its changes are described as non-intrusive, so the core game keeps its normal flow. Among them are shielding for the Happy Ghast, duplication of a vanilla item, cracking of bedrock, and an expansion of the beacon. Several new items and blocks are also added.

The mod is set up on the server, and players can join without installing it. Installing it on a server requires no client-side work, while a client may still add it for its own purposes. Files exist for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and the current builds cover game versions 1.21.9 – 26.1.1, with 1.3+mod for 26.1.1 as the latest release. The license is custom and the project is not open source.

Key features

  1. Happy Ghast shielding

Shielding applies to the Happy Ghast, adding protection beyond the vanilla behavior of that mob.

  2. Vanilla item duplication

One vanilla item can be duplicated under the mod's rules, giving a second source of the item.

  3. Bedrock cracking

Bedrock can crack under certain conditions, opening a new way to interact with the otherwise unbreakable block.

  4. Beacon expansion

The beacon's reach is extended, so its effect covers a wider area than in vanilla.
