Custom Chat
by Garde1
Custom Chat replaces the vanilla chat screen with a styled interface that keeps recent messages, commands and system output in one place.
What it does
On Fabric 1.21.11, the mod swaps the default chat screen for a custom one with styled chat lines and a browsable history of previously sent messages and commands. Normal chat messages and Minecraft commands are still sent as usual, so behavior stays compatible with vanilla servers. Custom Chat runs on the client alone, and the server needs no installation.
Fabric API and Fabric Language Kotlin are required dependencies, and Mod Menu is optional. The GNU General Public License v3.0 only covers the code, which is open source. The mod was first published on 2026-03-22, and its latest Fabric file is 1.0.8 for 1.21.11, dated 2026-08-23. Public source code and an issue tracker are linked from the project.

Logs can be kept apart by context, with entries for servers, singleplayer worlds and a global fallback, written as readable .log files.
