CubeTwitchChatFB

by poma-9

CubeTwitchChatFB shows messages from a Twitch channel in the Minecraft chat window, so a player can read a streamer's chat without leaving the game.

FabricClient-side onlyMIT LicenseOpen source1.21.11

What it does

Once a channel name is entered, the mod relays that channel's Twitch chat messages into the in-game chat. Viewers can follow the stream and the conversation in the same window they use for play. The channel is chosen by typing its name into the mod's settings, and either channel name works as input.

Reading chat requires a Twitch API token, which the player supplies. A Streamlabs token is also needed for the Streamlabs part of the connection. The mod lives entirely on the client, so a server does not need it, and a player who joins a server keeps seeing the relayed messages. Open source under the MIT License, the code is published as a public source repository.

The mod's appearance in the chat is set through the Minecraft settings screen, where the chat options are configurable alongside the relay options. It is built for the 1.21.11 release only and is published for Fabric.

Key features

  1. Live Twitch chat feed

Messages from the selected streamer's channel appear directly in the Minecraft chat window as they arrive.

  2. Channel selection

The channel is picked by entering its name in the mod's options, so no command is needed to switch streamers.

  3. Token-based connection

A Twitch API token and a Streamlabs token are entered by the player to authorize the feed.

  4. Chat settings in one place

The Minecraft settings screen holds the chat display options, so the message layout follows the player's preferences.
