PolyCrosshair (Custom Crosshairs)

by Polyfrost

PolyCrosshair lets players draw a custom crosshair in a built-in pixel editor, with canvas sizes from 7x7 up to 63x63.

FabricForgeOrnitheClient-side onlyCustom license1.8.9 – 26.3

What it does

Inside the editor a player draws the crosshair with a pen or a circle tool, one pixel at a time. Strokes can be mirrored horizontally, vertically or both, and holding Shift locks a stroke to a single direction. Undo and redo cover each change, and Delete clears the canvas. The S key shows or hides guide lines that help align the pattern.

Finished designs can be saved and loaded back later, so one player can keep several crosshairs and switch between them. The mod runs on the client alone, and the server never needs it. It requires OneConfig and Fabric Language Kotlin, and OneConfig is bundled inside the mod. Builds exist for Fabric, Forge and Ornithe across 13 release versions, 1.8.9 – 26.3, under a custom license that is not open source.

Key features

  1. Multiple canvas sizes

The editor provides several canvas sizes, so a crosshair can be small and simple or larger and detailed.

  2. Pen and circle tools

A pen draws freehand strokes and a circle tool places round shapes on the canvas.

  3. Mirrored strokes

Each stroke can be mirrored horizontally, vertically or in both directions to keep the design symmetrical.

  4. Undo and redo

Every edit can be reverted or reapplied while the crosshair is being drawn.

  5. Save and load designs

Crosshairs the player likes can be stored and loaded again whenever they are needed.

Questions

Does PolyCrosshair need Fabric Language Kotlin?

Yes. Fabric Language Kotlin is a required dependency and must be installed alongside the mod.

Is OneConfig required as a separate install?

OneConfig is required by the mod, but it is bundled inside PolyCrosshair, so no separate install is listed as necessary.

Does the server need PolyCrosshair?

No. It is installed on the player's side alone, so servers need nothing.
