Elixirs
by Natsu91
Elixirs brings 26 new potion effects, six buffs and twenty debuffs, plus brewing recipes for effects that vanilla Minecraft lacks.
What it does
Elixirs adds six new buffs and twenty new debuffs, along with brewing recipes for several long-awaited vanilla effects. Potions that vanilla Minecraft leaves uncraftable can be brewed with it, and it rebalances some vanilla potions. Most of the effects can be configured.
The mod also includes a Strength variant named Wrath, which is a weakened form of the vanilla effect, plus a Resistance variant named Endurance. Some of the buffs and debuffs take inspiration from Terraria, the Calamity Mod and Lycanite's Mobs. The mod is also meant as a potion library, so other mods can build on its effects.
Elixirs is built for Forge and NeoForge. Files cover 1.18.2, 1.19.2, 1.19.4, 1.20.1, 1.21.1 and 26.1.2, and the latest builds are 1.2.0 for 1.20.1 on Forge and 1.2.0 for 26.1.2 on NeoForge. Client and server both need the mod, and it is released under All rights reserved, so it is not open source. The source code and issue tracker are publicly linked.

Use cases
Potion library for other mods
Mod authors can use Elixirs as a shared set of potion effects, so their own mods do not need to define every effect.
Survival and combat progression
Stronger debuffs and buffs give players new ways to prepare for dangerous fights and to weaken enemies.
Who it’s for: Players who want more potion effects and brewing recipes in their survival or combat play, and server owners who want a shared set of effects with configurable balance.

What the author says
Elixirs is a mod that rebalance vanilla potions, and brings some other ones for mods to use. Its purpose is to be both a playable mod, and a potion library for other mods. Currently, Elixirs brings 6 new buffs and 20 new debuffs! It does such things as bringing a more legacy-friendly version of the "Strength" effect…
