Crafting The Impossible
by 4_square
Crafting The Impossible removes the normal crafting path for a set of items and replaces it with recipes that are harder to reach, such as Totem of Undying and Ender Pearl.
What it does
The mod is a server-side recipe datapack for Minecraft Java Edition. It changes how a fixed list of items can be obtained, so their crafting recipes are made uncraftable or rebalanced. The affected items include the Totem of Undying, the Ender Pearl and several golden apple and enchanting items. Its author describes the aim as keeping these items balanced rather than trivially obtained.
Installation depends on the setup. Players who want the changes on a server place the datapack in the world's datapacks folder, which is how the content loads. The mod is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and as a data pack, across 26 release versions, with builds covering 1.17 – 1.21.8. Only the server must run it; players may leave it out. Snapshot builds are published as well. The mod is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license and is not open source.
