Copper Golem Mod adds the copper golem from the 2021 Minecon Mob Vote, along with copper buttons that slowly oxidize.

What it does

Copper buttons are craftable from copper and gradually oxidize over time. An oxidized copper button keeps a longer pulse, and an axe can scrape away the oxidation as with other copper blocks. A golem is brought to life by setting up a block of copper topped with a rod that conducts lightning, with a copper button placed in front, then striking the button.

Golems wander at random and press any copper buttons they come across until they oxidize into statues. A player can hand a golem an item, and it will search for something to use that item on. Golems are drawn toward cats, so a golem that spots one may stop its task and follow it. Fabric API is required, and the mod is released under the MIT License as open source. Both the server and every player need it, and files cover game versions 1.17 – 1.21.5 on Fabric and Quilt.
