ContentTweaker
by jaredlll08
ContentTweaker lets scripts create new items and blocks in Minecraft, using ZenScript syntax through CraftTweaker.
What it does
Scripts written with ZenScript can register items and blocks that did not exist before, and can add recipes that use them. The scripts run through CraftTweaker, which must be installed alongside ContentTweaker and started first by the loader. Scripts are placed in the scripts folder, and the mod's own directories sit in a ContentTweaker sub-folder of the config directory.
Blocks are handled like other standard blocks, so each one needs a model file (Supports.obj), a texture and JSON texture data. Because the mod enforces its own limits on scripts that contain its methods, those scripts behave differently from ordinary CraftTweaker scripts. The author points to the GitHub wiki for the full resource-handling guide and a basic test example.
Files exist for Fabric and Forge across 11 release versions, 1.7.10 – 1.18.2, under the MIT License. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too.
Key features
Custom items
Scripts can register new items that appear in the game alongside the vanilla ones.
Custom blocks
New blocks can be added with their own models and textures, handled like standard blocks.
Recipes for new content
Recipes can be added and removed in scripts, including recipes that craft the new items and blocks.
ZenScript scripting
Content is defined in ZenScript files, so no Java code is needed to add basic items or blocks.

Use cases
Modpack authors
Pack makers can add custom items and blocks with scripts instead of writing a full mod.
Server custom content
Server owners can define extra items and blocks in scripts that every client on the server runs.
Who it’s for: The mod suits modpack makers and server owners who already write CraftTweaker scripts and want to add content through them. Players who only install finished packs do not need to work with its scripts directly.

What the author says
ContentTweaker is an addon for CraftTweaker. Crafttweaker lets you adjust recipes, remove them entirely, or add new recipes. One of the features that it lacks is the ability to create new items and blocks, ContentTweaker plans on allowing users to add more to their game, not only recipes but actual items and blocks…
