Ambient Environment
by jaredlll08
Ambient Environment adds subtle color noise to the biome tints of grass, water and leaves, so the same block looks slightly different from one place to another.
What it does
Biome colors in vanilla are uniform across each biome. This mod layers a faint, varied noise over those tints, so grass, water and leaves shift in hue from spot to spot. The effect is meant to make a world look more varied and alive, and it is modeled on a similar feature in the Bedrock edition. Fabric API is required on every loader the mod is published for.
Key features
Biome color noise
Grass, water and leaves receive small per-position color differences within their biome tint.
Varied landscapes
Neighboring areas of one biome no longer share an identical color, which breaks up flat stretches.
Bedrock-inspired effect
The noise follows a feature from the Bedrock edition, adapted for Java Edition worlds.
