Compact BedWars HUD

by drbaum

Compact BedWars HUD, by drbaum, is a client-side heads-up display that keeps useful match information visible during BedWars games.

What it does

The HUD shows TNT countdowns above nearby primed TNT, resource counters for iron, gold, diamonds and emeralds in the inventory, a wool counter that hides itself at zero, and a kill counter that resets between rounds and server sessions. Potion timers display active effects with their remaining duration, and BedWars messages can raise a final-kill or last-enemy-team alert.

Every element is movable, scalable and configurable through a built-in editor that previews supported HUD elements directly in the game. Each field can be shown or hidden on its own and styled with its own colors, background, border and labels, and reset actions open a confirmation screen. The mod does not automate gameplay. It requires Fabric API on Fabric builds and works with Mod Menu as an optional companion, and the environment is client-side only, so servers need nothing.

Key features

  1. TNT timers

Precise countdowns appear above primed TNT that is close to the player.

  2. Resource counters

Iron, gold, diamonds and emeralds in the inventory are counted and shown on the HUD, with stack amounts easier to read.

  3. Wool and kill counters

A wool counter hides at zero, and a kill counter for each round resets between matches and sessions.

  4. Potion timers and alerts

Active potion effects show remaining duration, and optional final-kill alerts report when the last enemy team remains.

Use cases

Playing BedWars rounds

Players keep resource totals, TNT timing and kill counts in view while a match runs, without automating any action.

Arranging the HUD

The built-in editor moves, scales and previews each element, so each player can place the displays where they fit the screen.

Who it’s for: Players of BedWars minigame servers who want a clean, movable match HUD on their own client. Server owners do not need to install it.

Questions

Does Compact BedWars HUD need Fabric API?

Fabric API is required on Fabric builds. Forge and NeoForge builds do not list it as a dependency.

Which versions does Compact BedWars HUD support?

Builds cover 1.8.9 – 26.3 across 10 release versions, and the latest Fabric file, 1.3, targets 26.3.

Does the mod change gameplay on the server?

No. The mod is client-side only and does not automate gameplay, so servers do not need it installed.
