Carbon Chat
by Draycia
With Carbon Chat, server owners can split chat into channels, format messages with MiniMessage, and relay conversations between servers.
What it does
Carbon Chat is a modern chat plugin for servers. Its channels are built around a single configurable format, and channels can be limited to a radius or to one world. Players join and leave channels with commands, while messages support MiniMessage formatting with RGB colors, clickable and hoverable text, and JSON. Chat clearing, muting and ignoring other players are included, and a basic party system adds party chat.
Cross-server chat runs through Redis, NATS or RabbitMQ. Item linking shows held items and armor in messages, and placeholders can be used in the output. Support for EssentialsX and DiscordSRV connects the chat to other systems.
The mod is licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only and is open source. It needs Cloud Minecraft Modded, Fabric API, LuckPerms and adventure-platform-mod, and MiniPlaceholders is optional. Files target 1.19.4 – 26.3 on Fabric, with 3.0.0-beta.39 for 26.3 as the latest beta build from 2026-09-18. It is also available for Paper, Folia and Velocity.

tkChat is a Fabric and Forge server-side mod under the MIT License, with files for 1.20 – 26.3. Easy Channels is a server-side Fabric mod under the Apache License 2.0, published only for 1.20.1. Chat Channels is a client-side Fabric mod under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, for 1.21.8 – 26.2, so it covers players rather than servers.
