Block Runner
by Fuzs
Block Runner changes walking speed on specific blocks, so dirt paths and stone bricks let players and mobs move faster across them.
What it does
Each block can carry its own speed boost, applied whenever a player or mob walks on it. Dirt paths and stone bricks are the built-in examples, so roads and walkways give movement a practical reason to exist. The speed values are set through the blockrunner:block_speeds data map, which lets a pack author assign a boost to any block.
The mod adds no items and no new mechanics. Block Runner is required on the server and optional on the client, so a server running it works for players who have not installed it. It loads on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge. Fabric needs Fabric API and Puzzles Lib, Forge needs Forge Config API Port, and Puzzles Lib is needed on NeoForge as well. Block Runner - Macaw's Paths and Pavings Compat builds on it. Released under the Mozilla Public License 2.0, the source code is open source, and builds cover 1.18.2 – 26.3.
