Battle Music
Battle Music plays imported music during mob and PvP fights, and switches to a separate heavy playlist when a boss or a large group of hostiles is close.
What it does
Battle Music swaps the background track when a fight starts, using playlists the player imports. Combat music starts when several hostile mobs have aggroed the player, when another player deals a set amount of damage, or when a boss is in range. Optional mini-bosses such as the Elder Guardian, Ravager, Evoker, Piglin Brute and others can be added by entity ID in the config. When a fight begins shortly after the previous one ends, the music picks up from the point where the earlier track faded out, while the regular playlist crossfades in and out during the change.
The mod runs on the client only, so players need it and servers do not. It requires Fabric API and needs a resource pack that supplies the music. Battle Music is released under the MIT License and is open source. Files cover 1.16 – 26.3, with 1.3+26.3-fabric as the latest Fabric build, 1.3+1.20.1-forge for Forge and 1.3+26.3-neoforge for NeoForge, all dated 2026-10-09.
Key features
Imported battle playlists
Music from the player's own resource pack plays during mob and PvP battles, with a separate heavy playlist for dangerous moments.
Heavy mode triggers
The heavy playlist starts when health drops low, when many mobs attack at once, or during a boss fight.
Smooth track transitions
Regular and battle tracks crossfade, and the music picks back up where it faded when the next fight begins.
In-game configuration
Detection ranges, thresholds, fade times and playlists can be edited in the game when Mod Menu and Cloth Config are installed.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Players who want their own soundtrack during fights and resource pack makers who supply the battle playlists. Server owners need nothing extra, because the mod is client-side only.
