Bareback Horse Riding

Bareback Horse Riding lets a player mount a horse without a saddle, changing how riding without one plays out.
What it does
Riding a horse without a saddle is allowed, so a horse found in the world can be taken along without a trip back for tack. By default, a player who rides this way and the horse both receive the Slowness effect. A config option adds damage at fixed intervals instead, and the interval and amount are both adjustable.
Leather pants negate the Slowness or damage while worn, and each negation costs durability. Every value is set in the config, and individual features can be switched off. Taming works as in vanilla, and steering only becomes possible after the horse turns friendly and is tamed.
The mod requires Collective on all four loaders. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, for 23 release versions covering 1.19.2 – 26.3, under All rights reserved, not open source.
