Auto Share
by BizCub
Auto Share lets the host of a LAN world distribute resource packs to every joining player, so nobody has to fetch and install them by hand.
What it does
The host of a local network world points the mod at a direct link to a ZIP archive holding the resource pack, and the pack is then sent to each player who enters the world. Players can join without fetching the pack themselves, and the transfer happens while the game runs, with no restart needed. The links are set in the mod's configuration, where the host also states whether the pack is required.
Because the environment is server-side only, the owner of the world is the only side that installs it, and players join without any mod of their own. Auto Share depends on Cloth Config API, Mod Menu and Simple Config Lib, which are optional, and it is open source under the MIT License. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with builds covering 1.20 – 26.3 and snapshot builds available.

Use cases
Friends on a LAN world
A host running a LAN session can give visitors the packs their world uses without sending files around.
Servers with a shared style
Owners who want every player on a world to see the same textures can distribute one pack to all of them.
Who it’s for: Owners of local network worlds who want players to receive resource packs automatically. Players need nothing installed, since only the owner runs the mod.
How it compares
Shared Advancements is server-side only, open source under the MIT License and published for 1.18 – 26.3, so it syncs progress instead of packs. e4mc is open source under the MIT License and needs the client and server, with files for 1.17 – 26.3, and it is built to let players reach a world over the internet rather than the LAN. Links In Chat is server-side only and open source under the Open Software License 3.0, but it runs on Fabric alone and covers 1.21 – 26.3.
