Pufferfish's Attributes
by Pufferfish
Pufferfish's Attributes adds damage attributes for magic, melee, ranged, tamed, sword, axe, trident and mace attacks, and it can be used on its own.
What it does
The mod was originally part of a larger package and was split out so it can run independently. It supplies new attributes to the game rather than a full set of skills, and it requires Fabric API on every loader. Pufferfish's Attributes is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only.
Installation is needed on the client and the server, so both sides run it. Builds exist for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 23 release versions, 1.18.2 – 26.3. Public links cover the source code, issue tracker and wiki.
Players may use the mod in a modpack as long as it is not redistributed. Other mods may add attributes of a similar kind, and reports of conflicts go to the issue tracker.

Use cases
Skill tree mods
Mods such as Simply Skills and Default Skill Trees use attributes like these to build skill systems on top of them.
Modpacks with custom balance
Pack makers can adjust damage per weapon type or per source instead of relying on vanilla values.
Who it’s for: Players and modpack makers who want more damage attributes, and mod authors whose skill or progression mods need them.
