Patchouli Resource Patch - Arch
Patchouli Resource Patch makes Patchouli load book JSON assets from resource packs, a change for non-English players who want translated books.
What it does
Patchouli keeps its book data in an external location that data packs cannot overwrite. This mod replaces that loading behavior with a mixin, so Patchouli tries to read assets from resource packs before it loads its own books. Some mods, such as Apothesis, place their manuals in the traditional data folder, which Patchouli does not check at all; in that case this patch is still needed, because the resource pack route is the only one Patchouli reads.
The patch is useful mainly to players who apply a resource pack with translated Patchouli books. It is a fork of Patchouli Resource Patch and supports Fabric, Quilt and Forge across the 1.15.x to 1.19.x range. Once Patchouli reaches its newer releases that only support the resource pack mode, the patch is no longer required. Patchouli is the required dependency, and the mod runs on the client alone.
Key features
Resource pack book loading
Book JSON assets are read from resource packs, so a translated pack can replace the text of Patchouli books.
Loading order change
A mixin makes Patchouli check resource packs before loading its built-in book data.
Support for manuals in data folders
Books that mods store in the traditional data folder are reached through the resource pack route that Patchouli would otherwise skip.

Mods with manuals outside resource packs
Mods such as Apothesis keep their manuals in the data folder, so the patch lets their books load from packs.

This is a Patchouli Resource Patch fork that supports Fabric/Quilt/Forge 1.15.x~1.19.x. Since Patchouli changes to store books in /data/, external resource packages or data packages cannot overwrite the contents of those books.
