Anvil on a Stick

by Bluebird

Anvil on a Stick adds a cheaper mace built from an anvil and a stick, and it is made for servers that want a heavier weapon option.

FabricForgeNeoForgeQuiltServer required, client optionalCreative Commons Attribution 4.01.21.5 – 26.3

What it does

The mod adds three crafting recipes, each combining an anvil top with a stick. The result is a weapon that works as a lower-cost alternative to a mace. As the weapon takes damage, its model changes: below one third of durability it switches to a chipped anvil model, and at two thirds it changes to a damaged anvil model. Iron Blocks can be used to repair it at an anvil.

The server must run the mod, while players may add it or leave it out. The mod is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with files for 1.21.5 – 26.3, and it is released under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. The code is not open source.

Questions

Does Anvil on a Stick need to be on the client?

No. Only the server has to run the mod; a player's client works with or without it, so either choice is fine.

What the author says

There are 3 crafting recipes for it, any of the 3 types of anvil on top of a stick. It can be repaired with Iron Blocks in an anvil. Whenever the weapon goes below 1/3 of its durability, it changes to a chipped anvil item model. Same thing happens at 2/3s durability where it changes to a damaged anvil.
