Aether Addon: Emissivity

by The Aether Team

Aether Addon: Emissivity makes selected Aether textures glow at full brightness in the world, whatever the light level around them.

FabricForgeNeoForgeClient-side onlyCustom license1.19.4 – 1.21.1

What it does

The addon gives emissive textures to Ambrosium items and blocks, Phoenix equipment, dungeon stone runes and the Shield of Repulsion. Those textures stay bright in dark caves and at night. Item and block emissivity is handled through data pack files, while emissive equipment can be switched off in the config options. It requires MoreMcmeta, MoreMcmeta Emissive Textures and The Aether. Players add it to their own game, and a server needs no copy. Files are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with game versions 1.19.4 – 1.21.1 across five release versions.

Key features

  1. Glowing Ambrosium

Ambrosium items and blocks render with emissive textures that stay visible in unlit areas.

  2. Phoenix and rune textures

Phoenix equipment and dungeon stone runes are drawn as emissive, so their detail shows underground.

  3. Toggleable equipment glow

The emissive effect on equipment can be turned off in the mod's config options.

What the author says

The Emissivity addon applies emissive textures to various items, blocks, and equipment found in the Aether mod. This means that these textures will appear bright regardless of the light level when they are in the world. These changes apply to things made from Ambrosium, Phoenix equipment, dungeon stone runes, and…
