Absolute Enchantments
by xelotex
Absolute Enchantments adds weapon enchantments for Forge 1.20.1 that trigger combat effects, drawing on the enchantment styles of games such as Minecraft Dungeons and DOOM Eternal.
What it does
The Ground Pound enchantment launches the player toward the ground when a crouching player presses left-click in the air, at least three blocks above the surface. On landing the screen shakes and a shockwave hits nearby mobs. Damage and radius scale with fall distance: each block fallen adds 0.5 bonus damage at Level 1 and 2.5 at Level 5, and a 16-block fall creates a 16x16 block radius. Afterward a Pound Recovery effect sets a cooldown of 20 seconds for a small drop and 60 seconds for a 16-block drop. Each mob killed with a Level 5 Ground Pound weapon removes five seconds from the timer, and a sound and circle particles signal when the slam is ready again.
The Pain Cycle enchantment requires a Blood Sacrifice weapon enchantment. Each hit on an entity deals a small unblockable amount of damage and builds a stack, tracked by an icon in the inventory. The sixth hit releases a stronger attack whose damage multiplier rises with enchantment level, reaching up to five times normal damage at Level 3. After the sixth hit the player receives a negative effect called Deep Wounds. The face on the icon becomes more intense as the stacks build.

What the author says
Inspired by the Falling Attack mod, this is a weapon enchantment that triggers when you are at least 3 blocks in the air. If you crouch and press left-click, you’ll plummet towards the ground like a meteor in whatever direction you're looking. When you land, the screen shakes, and you unleash a devastating shockwave…
