Armor Hider
by zannagh
With Armor Hider installed, a player can make worn armor, the enchantment glint or the offhand item partly transparent or fully hidden.
What it does
Armor Hider lets each equipment slot be adjusted separately: helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots and offhand each get an opacity slider, and the enchantment glint can be hidden on any of them. A live preview in the settings screen shows the result before it is kept. Combat detection can bring armor back into view while a fight is on, and a visibility option decides whether armor is drawn while an invisibility potion is active.
The mod runs with Eunomia as its one required dependency, and LuckPerms is optional for permission control. Multiplayer sync sends each player's settings to the server, so other players see them when the server runs the mod too. Armor registered through the Fabric API ArmorRenderer is covered too, so a custom renderer from another Fabric mod, such as Nycto, gets hidden and faded the same way vanilla armor does, with no extra compatibility code. Explicit compatibility covers visual mods such as Essential, GeckoLib, Iris and several accessory mods.
Only the client needs the mod for the core effect, while the server may add it for synced settings. The license is MIT License, and the code is open source. Files target 1.20 – 26.3 on Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt.
