Wiwi's Mega Trees

by lisarins

Wiwi's Mega Trees generates larger tree variants that vanilla Minecraft does not include, planted from a 2x2 group of saplings.

What it does

Wiwi's Mega Trees adds mega variants of tree types that vanilla trees do not already have. Planting four saplings in a 2x2 pattern grows a mega tree from them. Fabric API is required on Fabric, and the mod runs on client and server, so both sides need it. It is open source under the MIT License and is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with files covering 1.20.1 – 26.1.2.

Key features

  1. Mega tree variants

Adds larger versions of tree types that the base game does not generate in that form.

  2. Four-sapling growth

Four saplings placed in a 2x2 pattern grow into one mega tree instead of a single standard tree.

  3. Supported tree types

Several tree types are covered, and the list is given in the mod's own documentation.

Enhanced Falling Trees is also open source under the MIT License and runs on client and server for 1.20 – 26.2, but it changes how trees fall when cut rather than how they grow. Real Big Trees is a Forge-only, GPL-3.0 option for 1.18.2 – 1.20.1 that also adds large trees.
