by jnxspwdr

What it does

A lantern is craftable and fits the lantern trinket slot, so it stays lit while the character digs, climbs or fights. The light source is hands-free, which is the main purpose of the mod.

Upgrading the lantern produces a waterproof version that keeps its light when the character explores underwater, where ordinary lanterns would go out. Radiant Gear is required for the upgrade path, and Trinkets provides the slot the lantern sits in. LambDynamicLights is also required, and it supplies the dynamic light that the worn lantern casts.

The mod is published for Fabric only, with the single game version 1.20.1 and latest file 1.0.1 dated 2024-04-30. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. The code is under the MIT License and is open source; the source code and issue tracker are public.
