Flatuence Update

by VillagerUnknown

Flatuence Update adds flatulence to Minecraft: players and mobs can pass gas, with sounds, particles and optional status effects.

FabricClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.21.1 – 1.21.5

What it does

Players and mobs can pass gas, which plays one of six sounds with randomized pitches and volumes. Around blocks, particles follow the surroundings: the Overworld shows smoke, underwater shows bubbles, the Nether shows flames close to open fire, and the End shows portal particles. A status effect named Flatulence can be applied as part of the immersion features.

Flammable and explosive settings can make a gas release set players or mobs on fire near an open flame, or cause them to explode. Each chance is configurable, and the mod has separate chance settings for normal play and for sleeping. Both options are disabled by default, and the defaults are meant to let the mod be added to an existing modpack or world without destructive results. Servers that want the more destructive version can enable the recommended settings.

Installation requires Cloth Config API, Fabric API, Mod Menu and VillagerUnknown's Platform. Flatuence Update is published for Fabric only, across five game versions 1.21.1 – 1.21.5, and is released under the MIT License, so the source code is open source.

Key features

  1. Gas passing for players and mobs

Players and mobs can pass gas, triggering the flatulence sound and particle effects.

  2. Six randomized sounds

Six sounds play with randomized pitches and volumes, so repeated releases do not sound identical.

  3. Environment-based particles

The particles follow the surroundings, from smoke in the Overworld to portal particles in the End.

  4. Flammable and explosive chances

Configurable chances let a gas release set players or mobs on fire near open flames or make them explode.
