Vainglory
Vainglory adds a lance weapon and enchantments that change how dashing works, for players of the Fabric loader on Minecraft 1.21.
What it does
The lance is added as an equipment item, and new enchantments are made for it specifically. Several of them strengthen the dash: one raises the acceleration and top speed, another stacks up to level IV and doubles the maximum speed, and a third adds a knockback burst and particle effect whenever the player dashes. Dashing itself is reworked into a short burst of movement that ignores gravity, and dashes break through blocks tagged as breakable, such as cobwebs and leaves.
Enchantments that raise the number of mobs a single thrust can hit, or the area in which damage lands, sit alongside a bonus for dashing while riding a mob or minecart. Two enchantments are mutually exclusive with others in the set, so a lance carries only one of each pair. Slain foes restore one heart of health, and some enchantments are found in archaeology and in the chests of trial chambers and bastion remnants.
The mod is published for Fabric only, for Minecraft 1.21, and it runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. The code is under a custom license, and the source and issue tracker are public, but the project is not open source.
