VampireLib

by oliviathevampire

VampireLib is a Fabric library mod by oliviathevampire that supplies shared base classes, registry helpers and datagen utilities for other mods.

FabricClient and serverApache License 2.0Open source1.16.4 – 1.20.1

What it does

Custom villager professions with their own workstations and trades are provided as base classes, so a mod can add a profession without writing that plumbing itself. Some GUI utility classes and a set of datagen classes are included as well.

The registry side covers two areas. A Registry Helper class simplifies registering objects, and a Wood Registry lets a mod register wood types and choose which ones to use. A Wood Type registry also lets code look up a specific wood type or loop through every registered one. A Convertible Blocks system converts blocks into customizable items.

VampireLib is open source under the Apache License 2.0, with public source code and an issue tracker. It is published for 1.16.4, 1.19.4 and 1.20.1, with 7.0.2 as the latest build for 1.20.1, and Fabric API is required. Both the server and the clients must run it, and snapshot builds are also published.

Key features

  1. Villager profession base classes

Base classes for custom villager professions, workstations and trades reduce the code a mod needs for villagers.

  2. Registry Helper

A helper class makes it simpler to register game objects from a mod's initialization code.

  3. Wood type registry

Mods can register wood types, pick the ones they need and loop through all registered wood types.

  4. Convertible Blocks

A system converts blocks into other items through customizable rules set by the mod using it.

Use cases

Building a mod on shared code

A mod author can depend on VampireLib instead of rewriting registry, GUI and datagen helpers in each project.

Who it’s for: Mod developers who want ready-made base classes for villagers, wood types and registration, and players who run mods that depend on it.
