UsefulMagic
by CooStack
UsefulMagic lets players spawn magic circles that emit particles, craft wands at a magic synthesis platform, and charge them by holding right-click before releasing a magic array.
What it does
Magic circles can be placed in the world with their own particle effects. Wands are crafted through a workbench-style magic synthesis platform, and each wand provides access to different magic formations. A player holds the right mouse button to store energy, and releasing it fires a magic array whose strength grows with the stored energy and how long the charge was held.
Magic power is restored with magic potions and certain items. Potions are obtained by right-clicking a floating square with an empty magic potion bottle, so the potion supply does not depend on a fixed recipe alone. A magic synthesis table is needed to combine the matching items into new components.
The mod runs on both the client and the server, so the server and every player need it. Fabric and NeoForge builds exist for Minecraft 1.21.1 only, and four required libraries must be installed first: CooParticlesAPI, Fabric Language Kotlin, Geckolib and Kotlin for Forge. UsefulMagic is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only and is not open source. Its files date from 2025-05-19 and were last updated on 2026-08-14.

Blood Mages [More Magic Series] covers Fabric and NeoForge for 1.19.2 – 1.21.1, while UsefulMagic covers 1.21.1 only, also on both loaders.
