Use Server Name
Use Server Name lets a player keep one saved server name across multiplayer sessions, so server-linked data stays attached even when the address changes.
What it does
The mod stores data under a server name rather than the IP address the join screen uses. A player who reconnects to a server that moves to a new address still finds the settings tied to that server, which matters for mods that save per-server data such as Distant Horizons, Xaero's Minimap and Xaero's Worldmap.
Installation needs Fabric API and YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL) on the Fabric loader, and Quilt is also supported. Mod Menu is optional. The client is required, while the server may run without the mod. The code is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, so it is open source with public source code and an issue tracker.
Files are published for 1.20 – 1.21.9, covering 1.20, 1.20.1, 1.20.2, 1.20.3, 1.20.4, 1.21, 1.21.1 and 1.21.9. The latest Fabric build is 2.6.0+mc1.21.9, dated 2025-10-03, and the latest Quilt build is 2.0.0+mc1.20.4, dated 2024-02-09.
Key features
Server name keying
Per-server data is keyed to the server name instead of the IP address, so changing the address does not detach the saved data.
Map mod settings
Settings saved by Distant Horizons, Xaero's Minimap and Xaero's Worldmap are kept under the server name when a player joins through the multiplayer list.
Persistent multiplayer data
Data stays linked to a server across sessions for players who join the same server regularly.

Use cases
Servers that change address
A server owner who moves hosting keeps players' per-server map and render settings, because the link uses the server name.
Regular multiplayer players
A player who joins the same server often and uses map mods keeps their local data without re-entering it after each session.
Who it’s for: Players who use Fabric or Quilt with map or render mods that save data per server, and who join multiplayer servers regularly.

What the author says
Have you ever used a mod that saves data locally when playing on a server, but you use a server that regularly changes IP? If yes this mod is for you, as long as you use the same server name in the multiplayer join screen all your data will still be there.
