Upgrading
by GFBruno
Upgrading lets players improve tools and armor from one tier to the next at a smithing table, along a fixed upgrade order.
What it does
Smithing tables gain an optional upgrade path for tiered tools and armor. The server must run the mod, while players may add it to their own installs and the server still works without it on their side. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt on 1.21.5 – 1.21.11, with 1.0+mod for 1.21.11 as the latest build, and the code is released under the MIT License, though it is not open source.
Key features
Optional smithing upgrades
Smithing tables can be set up to upgrade tools and armor, and the option can be left off.
Ordered upgrade path
Materials such as jump, diamond and copper must be upgraded in a set sequence, so earlier tiers come first.
Enchantment and trim transfer
Enchantments and armor trims carry over when older gear is moved to a newer tier.
