TotemSkin
by konstasiil
TotemSkin retextures the Totem of Undying so that it matches the skin of the player holding it, and the change is visible to other players.
What it does
The mod swaps the totem texture for one built from the holder's skin. Holding a Totem of Undying makes the item display a miniature of the holder's skin, and the texture refreshes whenever the held item changes. Because the skin is read from the player, the look follows each person rather than a fixed image, and the same rule applies on multiplayer servers.
Server owners can set custom modes for individual players and a global mode for mob totems. Per-player overrides let one player use the vanilla look while others keep the skin version. The mod can keep up to eight custom totems active at once, evicting the most distant ones when the limit is reached, which keeps slot handling predictable in crowded areas. Both classic and slim player models are supported, and players with premium and non-premium accounts both see their own skin.
TotemSkin needs Fabric API. Cloth Config API and Mod Menu are optional; with both installed, a configuration screen opens from the Mod Menu list. The mod runs on Fabric and NeoForge for 26.1.2 only, is client-side only, and is released under the MIT License as open source. Its files and source code are public, along with an issue tracker.
Key features
Skin-based totem texture
The Totem of Undying is redrawn with a small version of the holding player's skin, updated as the player's held item changes.
Per-player overrides
Individual players can be set to the vanilla totem look, while the global setting applies to everyone else.
Distance-based slot limit
Up to eight custom totems stay active at once, and the most distant are dropped when a new one needs a slot.
Classic and slim models
Both standard and slim player model arms are handled, so the texture matches the skin regardless of arm width.
Optional configuration screen
With Cloth Config API and Mod Menu installed, settings can be changed in a dedicated screen, including mob totem modes.

What the author says
Retextures the Totem of Undying to match the skin of the player holding it. When a player holds a Totem of Undying, the texture dynamically changes to show a mini version of that player's skin on the totem. Works for both premium and non-premium accounts.
