Totem Anywhere
Totem Anywhere lets a totem of undying in the inventory activate when the player is struck by a fatal hit, without holding it in a hand.
What it does
A totem of undying normally works only when held in the main or off hand. With this server-side mod, a totem stored elsewhere in the inventory can trigger the same protection. The mod is server-side only, so players join without installing anything, and it is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, making it open source. Files target 1.14 – 1.21.1 on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and the mod is also described as working with Connector for NeoForge.

A totem of undying anywhere in the inventory counts toward saving the player from a lethal hit.

The totem does not need to be held, so the hands stay free for other items during a fight.
