TNTUtils
by ljfa-ag
TNTUtils gives server owners config options that control how TNT and other explosions behave, including block damage, item drops and chain reactions.
What it does
The mod changes explosion behavior through its config file. Server owners can disable TNT explosions entirely, stop TNT from chain-reacting, or change the size of explosions. The blast resistance of individual blocks can be adjusted, and the chance that a destroyed block drops its item can be modified as well.
Since version 1.20, entity type tags named tntutils:deny and tntutils:allow decide which entity types may create explosions. For 1.20 and later, the game rules mobExplosionDropDecay, tntExplosionDropDecay and blockExplosionDropDecay also control drops. The mod is server-side only, so players join without installing it, and it works alongside Fabric API on Fabric. It is open source under the MIT License and is published for 26.2 on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with builds covering 1.12 – 26.2.
Key features
Explosion config options
A config file holds the settings for explosion size, block resistance and item drops, and each feature can be toggled.
Entity type tags
The tntutils:allow and tntutils:deny tags list which entity types may create explosions, on versions 1.20 and later.
Chain reaction control
TNT can be stopped from igniting neighboring TNT, so one block does not set off a whole line.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Server owners who want to tune explosions on a multiplayer server or in a modpack. Because only the server runs the mod, a server can add it without requiring any change on player machines.
How it compares
Explosion Breaks No Block is server-side only, open source under the MIT License and published for 1.20 – 26.3 on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge. Boom Control is also server-side only and open source, but it is licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or later and supports only Fabric, for 1.19 – 1.20.1. Creeper Fireworks Mod is open source under the MIT License and needs client and server, unlike TNTUtils.
