TNT's Zombie Apocalypse
by TNT_Blox_0
TNT's Zombie Apocalypse changes how zombies spawn, burn and attack in an otherwise vanilla Minecraft world, and it runs on the server alone.
What it does
Zombies in this mod burn for longer in daylight, and they spawn at a reduced rate during the day, 25 percent by default. Block light from sources such as torches still stops zombies from spawning, so lit areas stay safer. Zombies can break doors, depending on the difficulty setting.
Villagers killed by zombies rise as zombified villagers, and 90 percent of villages are abandoned and filled with zombies. The mod is a simple, customizable change to the zombie apocalypse, and it stays close to vanilla behavior. Its own description says it feels more like a game mode or minigame than a standard expansion.
The mod is published for Forge only, with files covering 1.20.1 – 1.21.1 across four release versions. Server owners install it, and players connect with no copy of their own. It is released under the MIT License and is not open source.
Key features
Slower daytime burning
Zombies keep burning in daylight for longer, so the sun holds them back more effectively than in vanilla.
Reduced daytime spawns
Zombies spawn at a lower rate during daylight, 25 percent by default, and the rate can be changed.
Light-based spawn blocking
Block light from torches and similar sources still prevents zombies from spawning on nearby tiles.
Zombified villagers
Villagers that a zombie kills turn into zombified villagers, and most villages start abandoned and overrun.

Use cases
Survival worlds
Players who want harder nights and more danger from zombies in a single-player survival world can use the mod to change the zombie spawn rules.
Multiplayer servers
Server owners can run the mod alone, so clients keep their vanilla setup while zombies behave differently in the world.
Who it’s for: Server owners and survival players who want a zombie apocalypse that stays close to vanilla, with settings they can adjust to shape the feel of the game.

FasterZombies is server-side only and also under the MIT License, with no open source claim. Zombie Take Over is server-side only, covers Forge and NeoForge, reaches 1.21.5, and is under All rights reserved.
