Timber, a datapack-based adventure mod, breaks an entire tree when one log is struck with an axe, and a shift-click breaks a single log instead.
What it does
The mod works as a datapack and as a loader-specific mod for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt. Breaking one log with an axe destroys the whole tree at once, which speeds up tree farming. Holding shift while breaking keeps the normal single-block behavior. Server owners can change six settings with the config function to control leaf breaking, axe durability cost and whether giant mushrooms are included.
Server owners install it on the server, and players may add it on their side for extra features. Timber targets game versions 1.17 – 26.3 and has builds for 34 release versions, with 6.1+mod for 26.3 as the latest file for each loader. It is not open source; it is released under All rights reserved. Snapshot builds are published as well.
Giant mushrooms only break fully when the axe has Silk Touch, a limit of the game that the datapack cannot avoid. Version 4.0 fixed this for some cases. Older builds, 2.0 and below, do not work with the winter drop's pale wood.

Breaking one log with an axe removes the connected trunk and branches in a single action.

Holding shift while breaking removes only the single log, so the tree can be harvested piece by piece when needed.

An optional enchantment version limits felling to axes that carry the Timber Strike enchantment.
