The Useful Tools Mod
by StonyTark
The Useful Tools Mod adds dozens of tool, armor and weapon sets made from expanded vanilla materials, spectral mobs and explosive charges.
What it does
Equipment is built from materials beyond vanilla: Obsidian, Jagged Obsidian, Reinforced Gold, Emerald, Lapis Lazuli, Hardened Redstone, Coal, Hardened Coal, Spectral, Cake, Flint, Flint-Iron, Hardened Glowstone and stone types. Each family keeps its own statistics, recipes and mechanics, and some sets burn attackers or extinguish their owner in water. Spectral-Infused swords and axes keep the original statistics of the weapon they were made from, and they damage spectral mobs that are otherwise immune to damage.
Swords and axes go into the Spectral Infuser, where ectoplasm is combined with them in a furnace-style process to produce Spectral-Infused weapons. The Ectoplasm Lantern is a bounded light that repels hostile Wraiths and responds to redstone, and it replaces the former Soul Lantern while keeping the old ID as an alias for saved worlds. The Mining Charge and Remote Detonator let players place solid-backed directional charges, link them to a detonator, and see armed charges on a red indicator. Spectral mobs fly peacefully, have damage immunity, breed, and produce babies. Their loot and player-visibility rules are part of the mechanics. Installation requires Fabric API on every loader.

What the author says
The gallery begins with current 2.3.1 in-game screenshots; earlier captures are retained as Legacy 1.6. Useful Tools began as a way to give gold more purpose and has grown into a large collection of material-based equipment, spectral mechanics, explosives, world generation, and configurable integrations.
