The Aurorian

The Aurorian adds a dimension of eternal night and magical forest, reached through portals, with bosses, dungeons, ores and tools of its own for Forge on 1.12.2.
What it does
In the new dimension, the night never lifts over a forest of magical plants and forgotten ruins that players can search. The dimension is built around progression: three new bosses each guard their own dungeon, and eleven new mobs roam the area to fight. Dungeons hold unique loot, and new ores support several toolsets that differ from vanilla gear.
Servers that run it need every player to install it too. Patchouli is listed as an optional dependency and the author recommends installing it, since it adds an in-game book explaining how to get started. Tinkers' Construct materials are added too, so the new ores can be used in that mod's tool building. Construct's Armory, CraftTweaker and Enchantment Descriptions are also optional dependencies.
The build is published for Forge only, for 1.12.2 only, under the MIT License, and the code is open source. The first release was on 2023-10-13 and the latest Forge file, 1.12.2-1.2, was published on 2023-12-25.
