Tetra's Delight
by hyperlynx
Tetra's Delight lets Farmer's Delight knives and Nether's Delight machetes work as cutting tools inside the Tetra tool system on Forge.
What it does
The mod is a data pack that treats Farmer's Delight knives and Nether's Delight machetes as modified swords for Tetra. Once they count as Tetra swords, players can use them as cutting implements. Items can also be placed on the Tetra workbench, where a tool part swap turns them into variously modified Tetra swords.
The server must run the mod, while players may leave it out of their own installs. Files exist for Forge across 1.18.2, 1.19.2 and 1.20.1, with 1.20.1-1 for 1.20.1 as the latest build, published on 2024-01-24. The license is MIT, and the mod is not open source. The raw data pack is also offered separately from the packaged mod builds.
Converted Tetra equivalents use different textures than the original knives and machetes, so an item can change appearance after modification. A knife turned into a Tetra shortsword loses its ability to work on a cutting board or to gather straw.
