Eclectic

Eclectic adds a handful of small additions with a magical theme rather than large changes to the game. Among them are a redstone-powered laser pointer whose beam passes through blocks and entities, a hammer that keeps wooden trapdoors shut, and a glass coating that can be applied to the edges of slabs and stairs. Aiming the beam at most mobs blinds them briefly, and cats chase the dot at high speed.

Crying Obsidian can be exposed with a Ghast Tear to reveal Emotional Obsidian, which comes in five colored variants with their own properties. Weeping Obsidian releases crying particles more often, Raging Obsidian periodically ignites nearby entities, and Wandering Obsidian is the form Mourning Obsidian takes when it returns from the Nether to move restlessly through empty spaces. The Mind Lantern attunes itself to other lanterns to keep players awake, and a floating quilt negates fall damage within a configurable distance.

Eclectic runs on client and server, so the server and every player need the mod. It is published for Forge only, for 1.18.1, 1.18.2, 1.19 and 1.19.2, with 1.3.1 for 1.19.2 as the latest file. The code is open source under the MIT License.
