TeekasPaste

by Teekas

TeekasPaste lets players move Hex Casting spells in and out of the game through text, with a parser that reads human-written spell code and an exporter for pattern output.

FabricForgeClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.20.1

What it does

The mod is an import and export tool for Hex Casting. It can take a spell written as plain text, read commas, spaces, line breaks and comments, and turn it into a working pattern. It also goes the other way, writing a spell out as readable, indented text or as a compact one-line form, so a player can copy it between the game and other tools. The parser recognizes raw angles such as EAST and qweasd input, translated pattern names, numbers like 5.5, vectors written as 1 2 3, and booleans.

Auto-building covers 2D and 3D magic circles. A single command builds a ritual circle in the world from a spell held on the clipboard, so a long pattern does not have to be drawn by hand. Spells can also be saved to a personal dictionary of favorites and recalled during play without leaving Minecraft. The mod reads the iotas of several Hex Casting addons, including MoreIotas, Hexal, Hexcellular, Hexpose, Oneironaut and Ephemera, and works with the HexDebug formats.

Required dependencies are Architectury API, Fabric API, Fabric Language Kotlin, Hex Casting and Kotlin for Forge. Hex Casting is the base the spells are built on, and the other four provide the libraries the mod loads on each loader. The mod runs on client and server and is published for Fabric and Forge for 1.20.1, under the MIT License, and the code is open source.

Key features

  1. Spell import from text

Spells written as readable text are parsed into Hex Casting patterns, with commas, spaces, line breaks and comments all accepted.

  2. Spell export formats

Patterns can be exported as indented, pretty text, as a compact form or as a one-line hexpattern string.

  3. Circle auto-building

A single command generates 2D or 3D ritual circles in the world from a spell on the clipboard.

  4. Personal spell dictionary

Favorite spells are saved in the game and can be recalled at any time without minimizing Minecraft.

  5. Addon iota reading

The parser handles iotas from several addons, so spells that use them can be imported and exported as text.
