Sword Blocking Plus adds a Blocking enchantment that lets swords, axes and maces block attacks the way a shield does.

What it does

The mod brings back the classic sword blocking mechanic. A weapon carrying the Blocking enchantment can be raised to stop incoming attacks, and the enchantment comes in two levels, so a stronger version gives more protection. Blocking reduces incoming damage by half, and each blocked hit costs the weapon 6 durability.

Server owners install the mod on the server, and that is enough for players to use it. Only the server needs it, so players who join without it can still block with enchanted weapons. It is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with files for 1.21.5 – 1.21.10 and 1.1+mod for 1.21.10 as the latest release. The mod is released under All rights reserved and is not open source.
