NAuth
by pizzb
NAuth adds a login and registration flow to offline-mode servers, built around in-game dialogs instead of chat commands.
What it does
Players register a username and password through a dialog, then log in through the same kind of dialog when they join. Logging out is optional, and a logged-out player is shown to other players so they can see who is away. Registration can be undone with an unregister action, after which the player is prompted to register again. Configuration of the authentication process is done through the dialogs, so server owners need fewer commands to run.
NAuth is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with files for 1.21.6 – 1.21.10 under the MIT License, and the code is open source. Only the server must run it, and players may leave it out.
