With StraySkins, players on a server can see their own skin and cape even while they join in offline mode.

What it does

StraySkins lets an offline account show a custom skin and cape to other players in multiplayer, where the server would normally display a default look. Each player places an image file named after their own username in the game folder, and the mod loads it automatically on startup. Other file names can be used too, but they then have to be picked by hand in the game. The mod runs on Fabric for versions 1.20.1 – 26.3 and needs the server and every player to install it, since the appearance has to be seen by everyone in the session.

    An image named after the player's username loads on its own, with names in Chinese and other characters also supported.

  3. Manual skin selection

    Files with any other name can be chosen in the game, and the appearance is then applied from the selection.
