Status
by henkelmax
Status lets players show availability, recording, streaming and other states next to their head in the tab list, and it runs on Fabric and Quilt.
What it does
Pressing the U key opens the status menu, where a player sets one or more parts of a status. The chosen parts appear as icons beside the player's head in the tab list, so others can see whether someone is free for collaboration, recording, streaming or does not want to be disturbed.
When no sleep is active, players lying in bed see a message that someone does not want the night skipped, and players without the mod see it too. A reminder to set a status appears the first time a player joins a server in a session. A status set in one session does not carry over to the next by default.
The mod was built for the Hermitcraft server. Servers may run it alone, clients may run it alone, or both sides may run it together, because it works on either side and neither needs it. Clients without the mod can still join a server that has it, but only players with the mod on their client can set a status. Builds are published for Fabric and Quilt across 27 release versions, 1.19.2 – 26.3, and the code is All rights reserved, so it is not open source.

Use cases
Server hubs
A server community can show players which members are available, recording or streaming.
Shared sleep rules
Players can mark that they want the night kept, so others in bed see the notice.
Who it’s for: Players who stream or record on multiplayer servers, and server owners who want an in-game status display for a community such as Hermitcraft.
How it compares
Better Multiplayer Sleep runs on either side, and neither side strictly needs it, under the MIT License, on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt for 1.19 – 26.3, but it is not open source. Streamer Mode is client-side only and open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, with Fabric files for 1.14 – 1.21.1.
