SmithingUpgraders+ adds new Smithing Templates that let players craft other vanilla armor and tools at the Smithing Table.
What it does
Crafting armor through the standard Crafting Table is replaced in this mod: armor is made at the Smithing Table using new Smithing Templates, and tools follow the same route. Players who want a harder progression can leave the Crafting Table path closed and rely on the templates instead.
A novice Toolsmith villager will hand over a Smithing Template in exchange for a chestplate and a few emeralds, with no level-up required first. The author notes that a villager may break the workbench Smithing Table, so players should keep a spare if they want to continue trading until the desired template shows up.
The mod runs on Fabric for Minecraft 1.20.1 – 1.20.4, and it is licensed as All rights reserved, so it is not open source. Client and server both need it, so every player on a server that runs it must install it too. A resource pack can be used alongside it, and the author allows the mod to be distributed anywhere.
