SmartTriggers
by Toflking_
SmartTriggers lets players and server owners define triggers that run actions when chosen in-game events occur, such as messages, titles, sounds, commands and state changes.
What it does
Triggers are configured in-game with a set of sources, which are the events that fire them, and actions, which are what they do in response. Available actions cover sending messages to the action bar, the scoreboard sidebar, chat or the title display, setting the action bar, playing a sound, executing a command and toggling a flag. Minecraft formatting codes can be used inside action text, so messages keep their colors and styles.
Beyond one-shot actions, triggers can hold state. A trigger can start or stop a timer, increment or reset a counter, and react to whether a flag is set, so a sequence of events can be tracked across time. Active flags, timers and counters can be cleared with commands, either all at once or by a specific key, which resets the state a trigger built up.
SmartTriggers is a client-side only mod for Fabric, published for 1.21.11 and 26.1.2 with version 1.1.0 as the latest file for 26.1.2. It requires Fabric API. The code is open source under the MIT License, and the source and issue tracker are public.
Key features
Event-driven triggers
Triggers fire automatically when a chosen game event happens, without any manual action by the player.
Messages and titles
Triggers can write to the action bar, the scoreboard sidebar, chat and the title display, with formatting codes preserved.
Sounds and commands
A trigger can play a sound or execute a command when it fires.
Timers and counters
Triggers can start and stop timers and increment or reset counters, tracking progress across repeated events.
Flag-based state
Flags can be toggled and checked, so triggers react to whether a condition is currently active.
Clearing state
Commands remove active flags, timers and counters, either by a specific key or all at once.
