With Size Shifting Potions, a player can brew four new potions that change the size of the character.

What it does

The mod adds four potion types: Growth and a second size-reducing potion, plus Widening and Thinning, which combine a Growth or reducing potion with a Fermented Spider Eye. Growth is brewed from a Strength Potion and a Red Mushroom, while the reducing potion uses a Weakness Potion and a Brown Mushroom. Each potion changes the size of the player for a time, and the mod sets the smallest and largest sizes the effects can reach.

Pehkui is required and must be installed beside the mod. MidnightLib is bundled inside the mod, so nothing extra is needed for it. Size Shifting Potions is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt across 11 release versions, 1.18 – 1.21.1, and the code is open source under the MIT License. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too.

Key features

  1. Growth and reducing potions

    Two base potions are brewed from a Strength or Weakness Potion plus a mushroom, one enlarging and one reducing the player.

  2. Widening and Thinning potions

    Fermented Spider Eye combined with a Growth or reducing potion makes a wider or thinner variant.

  3. Brewing toggles

    Each potion can be switched off so that it cannot be brewed on the server.

  4. Alternate recipe ingredients

    The recipes can use Warped fungus or fungus of another kind in place of the Red and Brown mushrooms.

  5. Size limits

    Minimum and maximum sizes for the status effects are set in the config.
