Simply Hats, a Forge mod for 1.20.1, lets players craft cosmetic hats that can be worn in survival.
What it does
The hats are purely cosmetic and are crafted from common materials. A white fancy hat takes four white wool and one yellow dye, while a black fancy hat takes four black wool and one red dye. Each hat gives two armor points, equal to one full armor icon, so it also offers a small amount of protection. The mod runs on client and server, so servers and every player need it installed. Files target Forge 1.20.1 only, and the latest build is 1.1.0, released 2024-10-15. The code is under All rights reserved and is not open source.
