With Simple Copy installed on a server, a player can combine an enchanted book with a matching book on an anvil to duplicate its enchantments.

What it does

The mod lets an anvil copy the enchantments of one enchanted book onto another book of the same kind, so a player does not have to rebuild the book from the enchanting table each time. The cost of the copy depends on the enchantments being duplicated, and the copy also uses experience. A shift-click action can duplicate books in bulk, which takes more experience and more time for each batch.

Simple Copy is meant for survival worlds and multiplayer servers where enchanted books are expensive to produce. It is a server-side only mod, so players join without installing anything. Fabric API is required, and the mod needs no other dependency. Builds exist for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt across 14 release versions, 1.20 – 1.21.8, and the code is open source under the MIT License.
