Shear Leaf Litter
by FerranV
Shear Leaf Litter changes which leaf litter drops when a player breaks a block with shears, limiting the drop to Silk Touch use.
What it does
Leaf litter drops only when the block is broken with shears that carry the Silk Touch enchantment. Breaking it by hand or with other tools yields nothing, which removes the litter from ordinary mining and clearing. The rule applies only while other enchantments are present on the shears, so the enchantment setup of the tool matters.
The mod is aimed at survival worlds, existing worlds and new worlds alike, and it can be added to a world at any point. It needs the server to run it, while players may keep it out of their own game. Files cover 1.21.9 – 26.3, with builds for 1.21.9, 1.21.10, 1.21.11, 26.1, 26.1.1, 26.1.2, 26.2 and 26.3 across Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, plus a data pack. The mod is released under the MIT License and is not open source.
Key features
Silk Touch leaf litter
Leaf litter is collected only when shears with Silk Touch are used on the block, so it does not spill out during normal breaking.
Enchantment-aware rule
The restriction takes effect only when other enchantments are also on the shears, which changes how the drop behaves on enchanted tools.
Bug fixes included
The latest release includes bug fixes made after the first publication, and the 26.3 build is the newest file.
Data pack option
A data pack version lets servers apply the same drop rule without installing a loader mod on each platform.

Use cases
Adding to an existing world
A world that already has leaf litter can take the mod without being reset, because the drop rule applies from that point on.
Setting up a new world
A new world can start with the restriction in place, so leaf litter is not gathered in bulk from the first session.
Who it’s for: Server owners who want leaf litter to come only from Silk Touch shears, and players who run the server with a matching loader or data pack.
How it compares
Less Leaf Litter is server-side, not open source and covers 1.21.5 – 26.2 under All rights reserved, with Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt files. Better Leaf Litter is server-side under the MIT License and reaches 26.3 across the same four loaders. Declutter is server-side and All rights reserved for 26.1 – 26.1.2 only.
