SettleCraft

by kewers

SettleCraft lets players found a town, claim chunks as its territory and set who may build or interact inside its borders, running on the server.

FabricServer required, client optionalMIT License1.21.1 – 1.21.11

What it does

A player creates a town with the town create command and becomes its mayor at once. The mayor claims land one chunk at a time, up to 64 claimed chunks per town, and invites members to join. Claimed territory can be shown on the Xaero's World Map as a coloured overlay, with the player's own town in blue and other towns in red.

The mayor decides what guests and members may do inside the town borders: break blocks, place blocks, interact with chests, doors and buttons, and allow mob spawning. Each of these can be toggled separately for both groups. The town name appears in chat next to each player's name.

SettleCraft is server-side, so the server requires it and players can join without installing anything. Players who want to see the claims on their map install Xaero's World Map, which is an optional visual enhancement. The mod requires Fabric API and Fabric Loader 0.16.5 or newer, and it is published for Fabric only, across 11 release versions, under the MIT License. It is not open source.

Key features

  1. Chunk-based town claims

Towns hold up to 64 claimed chunks, each added by a mayor while standing in the chunk.

  2. Separate guest and member permissions

Building, breaking, interaction and mob spawning are each switched on or off for guests and members.

  3. Territory overlay on the map

With Xaero's World Map installed, claims show as a coloured overlay, blue for one's own town and red for others.

  4. Town administration commands

Commands for daily management include creating, leaving, claiming, inspecting, configuring permissions, banning and mapping towns.
